Pilot project: apropos
Cashless payments for “homeless newspaper”
As a first product we developed a cashless payment system that enables the homeless vendors of a street magazine called “Apropos” to receive digital payments through our app, without the need to have a digital device or bank account themself. A simple QR-Code is the access for the buyer, the seller gets paid out directly through the magazine’s office.
This way we opened up a whole new customer group. the initial 7 participants grew to more than hundred and the reception is positive.
We changed the name
(prev) SocialCard, tuning pocket-change to real Change
Throughout europe we were nominated at multiple international social impact and startup competitions, we won hackathons and participated in multiple accelerators while defining points4change’s mission and values.
We are proud to have pushed this endevour to this point without a single cent of outside investment and are eager to bring this solution to a real market trial.
